HANOVER, N.H. - The University of San Francisco (1-2-1) women's soccer team opened its East Coast road swing Thursday evening, falling to Dartmouth (2-0-1), 2-0, at Burnham Field.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

San Francisco generated the first shot on goal of the contest in the sixth minute when Shanti Ng tested Dartmouth goalkeeper Ola Goebel, who made the save.
Hannah Burns created two scoring opportunities in the first half, placing both attempts on frame in the 22nd and 25th minutes.
Tyra Bengtsson-Stenseth kept the Big Green off the board in the opening half, recording saves on attempts from Emmanuella Frimpomaa and Nadia Young as the two sides entered halftime scoreless.
USF continued to hold Dartmouth scoreless early in the second half, with Bengtsson-Stenseth making saves against Natasha Udebhulu and Anna Gominiak.
The Dons continued searching for the opening score as Alicia Osegueda, Sydni Yoshida, and Burns each generated attempts in the minutes to follow, with Burns forcing another save in the 68th minute.
Dartmouth broke the scoreless tie in the 79th minute when Young found the back of the net off an assist from Frankie Valverde, giving the Big Green a 1-0 advantage.
The Big Green added an insurance goal in the 87th minute as Stephanie Lathrop scored off an assist from Young, bringing the contest to its final mark of 2-0.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

The Dons recorded nine shots in the contest, placing four on goal.
Burns paced the Dons' attack with three shots on goal, forcing saves from Goebel in the 22nd, 25th and 68th minutes.
Bengtsson-Stenseth recorded four saves while playing the full 90 minutes in goal for San Francisco.

UP NEXT:
San Francisco wraps up its East Coast road trip on Sunday, Aug. 30, when the Dons travel to take on Boston University at Nickerson Field. Kickoff is set for 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.
