Raphael Earns WCC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – University of San Francisco men's soccer forward David Raphael was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week after another productive stretch for the Dons.
Raphael recorded two goals and two assists across two matches, directly contributing to four of San Francisco's goals during the week.
The junior played a major role in San Francisco's 3-2 comeback victory over California on Wednesday, Sept. 16. With the Dons trailing 2-0, Raphael scored in the 55th minute to cut the deficit in half before assisting on both of San Francisco's final two goals. He first connected with Brayden Beason for the equalizer before setting up Sammy Long's game-winning goal less than five minutes later.Â
Raphael followed that performance with another goal on Sunday at CSU Bakersfield, converting a penalty kick in the 35th minute to bring San Francisco within one. He finished the match with three shots while playing 82 minutes.Â
The weekly honor adds to a strong start to the season for Raphael, who currently leads the WCC with six goals, 15 points and 28 shots, while his three assists are tied for the conference lead. Raphael entered his junior campaign after earning All-WCC First Team honors in 2025.
