2014 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five cross country meets … in her first meet of the season, placed sixth at the WCC Preview with a time of 21:20.7 … placed in the top 15 in final two races of the season … placed 11th at the WCC Preview with a time of 20:32, her best time of the season on a 6k course … ended the season by placing 12th at the NCAA Regionals with a time of 20:37 … selected to WCC All-Academic Team.
2014 TRACK & FIELD: Finished eighth in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships to earn All-American honors ... USF's first track and field first-team All-American ... finished with a season-best and school record time of 33:02.02 on June 12 at the championships in Eugene, Ore. ... ran a record time of 16:00.51 to take third in the 5,000 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational on May 4 ... placed first in the 10K at the West Coast Last Chance and fifth at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships.
2013 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in two meets for the Dons, starting with the West Coast Conference Championships ... placed 22nd at the WCC Championships, turning in a 6K of 22:06 to help USF to its fifth-straight team title ... finished the 6K course at the NCAA West Regionals in 20:45 to earn 51st.
2013 TRACK & FIELD: Earned NCAA All-American honorable mention status in the 10,000 meters ... broke the USF 5,000 meter record in her first time on the track for the Green and Gold ... took first with a time of 16:11.78 at the Husky Classic on Feb. 9 ... posted a 10,000 meter record time in the 10,000 meters at the Stanford Inivtational March 30, clocking in at 34:07.61 to qualify for the NCAA Preliminary Championships ... finished fourth at the NCAA Semifinals in Austin, Texas, with a time of 34:59.17 to advance to the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Ore.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Placed third in the German Championships in the 10,000 meters running a personal record of 33:57.53 on May 5, 2012 .... 2012 team champion in 10K road race ... Bavarian Vice Champion in the indoor 1,500 and 3,000 m and the 10,000 m outdoor ... Vice European cross country champion with German U23 national team in 2011 ... Vice German U23 champion in the 5,000 m and 10K road race ... German U23 team cross country champion ... placed ninth in the 5,000 m at the European U23 Championships in Ostrava in 2011. Previous best times were 2:15.72 in the 800m, 4:25.63 in the 1,500m, 9:28.86 in the 3,000m and 1:13:49 in the half marathon.
PERSONAL: Majoring in sport management ... daughter of Mali Kaiser-Soethout and Guido Soethout ... chose USF because of the focus on the individual, the perfect climate for runners and to gain new experiences in better races.
