CAREER: The stellar defensive player appeared in 77 matches making 61 starts...the 77 games played is tied for seventh most in program history...she logged 4,980 minutes for her career toping 1,200 her final three seasons...was named the 2020 Charles Harney Academic Award winner which goes annually to the USF student-athlete who maintains the highest grade point average during their tenure at the University...Kelsey maintained a 3.99 GPA while studying kinesiology while earning WCC All-Academic honors in 2019...she finished with one collegiate goal which she scored in her freshman year in the win over Gonzaga.Â
2019 (SENIOR): Earned First Team WCC All-Academic honors...played in 19 games making 15 starts in her senior year...finished the year sixth on the team with 1,508 minute splayed, a career-best and third-straight year playing 1200 or more minutes...played 80 or more minutes 12 times including 10 games at 90 or more minutes...played a season-high 110 minutes in the 3-3 tie against Cal State Fullerton on Sep. 27...took two shots on the year with one on goal for a .500 shots on goal percentage...both her shots came in the 2-1 loss in overtime at Northeastern on Sep. 15.
2018 (JUNIOR): Played in 20 games, making 18 starts for the Dons in the back...played in 1244 minutes and the second-consecutive year she's played over 1200 minutes...played 50 minutes or more 14 times...played in a season-high 105 minutes in the overtime game against Gonzaga...took two shots on the year with one on goal for a .500 shots on goal percentage.
2017 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 20 matches making 18 starts for the Dons in 2017…logged 1,281 minutes, playing 50 or more minutes 13 times…took four shots on the year with 1 on goal for a .250 shot on goal percentage…played all 110 minutes in the 1-1 tie with No. 17 Oklahoma State on Sep. 15…took a pair of shots against UC Irvine on Sep. 24…her lone shot on goal came in the 2-1 win over Portland on Oct. 8.
2016 (FRESHMAN): Made 18 appearances with 10 starts in her first year on the Hilltop... scored her first collegiate goal in a win over Gonzaga (Oct. 30)... started all nine WCC contests... tallied a total of three shots on the year... played the full 90 minutes in the final three games of the year.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Captained her club team, Mustang Soccer Club, for five years between U-13 to U-17... selected to the Elite Clubs National League Player Development Program in 2014 and 2015... also selected for the U.S. National Training Center in 2012 and 2013... member of the NorCal Premier Soccer Player Development Program '98 State Team in 2012 and 2013... academic letterwinner all four years of high school.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 16, 1998 in Walnut Creek, Calif.... parents are Gary and Kellie Kelsey... planning to major in nursing.
