SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's soccer team collected eight West Coast Conference All-Academic Awards on Tuesday as announced by the conference office. Senior
Nicole Kelsey was named to the 11-person WCC All-Academic Team with eight others earning Honorable Mention accolades.
Kelsey, a Kinesiology major who boasts a 3.99 grade point average, played in all 20 games making 15 starts. She anchored the Dons backline and logged 1508 minutes which was fifth most on the team. The four year starter finished her career playing 4980 minutes, making 78 appearances and 57 starts. It is the first all-academic accolade for Kelsey.

Cassidy Helenihi,
Candace Hillegas,
Samantha Jehnings, Izzy Lueken,
Bethan Parry, and
Kalena Teufel all earned WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention honors. For Lueken this is her third career honorable mention honors. Jehnings and Camera have earned two all-academic honors. This is the first time on the list for Cooper, Helenihi, Hillegas, Parry and Teufel.
This season, 28 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.75 or better, including five with perfect 4.00 GPA's in seniors Sigrid Aas (Pacific) and Natalie Kennedy (Santa Clara) alongside sophomore Marissa Carpenter (Pacific), Jenae Packard (Pacific) and
Bethan Parry In total, 52 honorees turned in GPA's above a 3.50.
At the conclusion of each athletics season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to her team.
