At the conclusion of the 2014-15 athletic year, we bid farewell to a stellar senior class, and we at Dons Athletics are full of emotion, pride, and hope. Those departing seniors have both benefitted from their time on the Hilltop and have helped spark our department’s recent progress.  Across 15 sports, these student-athletes gave it their all. They performed with intensity and passion in their years as San Francisco Dons. They served not only their teams and coaches, but their classmates, and the greater community through service to others. It's that leadership among their peers that gives me surefire optimism moving forward. These are not just players, but mentors. Waiting in the wings right now are the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have witnessed their success, and yearn for their own chance to take the mantle and raise it to the next level. In addition, we have attracted top-notch transfer students who will add to this mix. All in all, next year's forecast looks very good. Across the University and the city of San Francisco, these student-athletes are winning over new advocates and fans. I can't tell you how excited I am to see the growth of first-year students and new university leadership coming out and supporting our student-athletes at our competitions. It truly is a good time to be a Don. The state of the program is indeed strong right now. These individuals have made it even stronger by supporting us with a donation. Our student-athletes are going to do everything they can to make you proud in the year to come. Help us help them by continuing to invest in these talented student-athletes.
