2018 Track & Field: Competed in six meets, featuring in the 800 meters and 1,500 meters…posted a season best in the 800 meters at the Portland Twilight (May 11) with a time of 1:53.89…finished in the top-three in the 800 meters on three occasions with 3rd place finishes at both the Cardinal Classic (Apr. 21) and the Brutus Hamilton (Apr. 28), and a 4th place finish at the Sac State Open (May 5).
2017 Cross Country: Competed once for the Dons in 2017, finishing in 42nd place at the USF Invitational with a time of 27:42.
2017 Track & Field: Competed nine times for the Dons in distances ranging from 200 to 1,500 meters … raced to a season-best 800 meter time of 1:54.08 at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 14 … turned in a mark of 4:03.96 in the 1,500 meters at the Cardinal Classic on April 22.
2016 Cross Country: Competed once for the Dons on the year … turned in an 8K time of 27:10.8 at the USF Invitational on Sept. 3.
2016 Track & Field: Raced in eight competitions for the Dons, primarily focusing on the 800 meters … took third in the 800 at the Nor Cal Opener on March 5, clocking in at 1:57.33 … ran a season-best 3:58.22 in the 1,500 m at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 15 … closed the year with a season-best in the 800, completing the laps in 1:52.75 to take third at the West Coast Last Chance on May 14.
2015 Cross Country: In his first meet as a Don, he finished 44th at the USF Invitational, completing the course in 26:44.7...Placed 15th at the Boise State dual meet with a time of 27:49.1...Wrapped up his freshman season at the San Francisco State Invitational, finishing in 104th with a time of 26:51.7.
High School and Personal: Won two NCS Championships (800m and 1600m) ... finished in 9th place at the California State Meet in the 800m ... graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors from James Logan High School in Union City, Calif. ... also a four-year member of the Superintendent Honor Roll ... two-time selection to the North Coast Section Scholastic Team ... volunteered with the UC Lightning Special Olympics Track and Field program ... earned eight varsity letters, four in cross country and four in track and field, and notched Mission Valley Athletic League All-League Honors all four years for both sports ... named the MVAL champion twice in the 1600m and the 4x400m relay and three times in the 800m ... owns the James Logan school record for the 4x800m ... personal bests include: 49.2 relay split (400m), 1:53.73 (800m), 4:22.65 (1600m), 9:37.59 (3200m) and 6:23.71 (2000m) ... high school coach was Lee Webb ... son of Ariel and Doris Monsalud ... sister, Tiffany, runs cross country and track and field at Saint Mary’s ... enjoys playing the ukulele and the saxophone in his free time.
