All-around athlete brings an effective inside and outside gameto the post position

FRESHMAN: Center from Canadagot his first start in season opener vs. Sonoma State...appeared in16 games, with one start...averaged 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds pergame in 7.3 minutes...knocked down 50% of his shots...only appeared in five WCC games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 21 points, and 11 rebounds per game last season at Maple Ridge Secondary School...played in the nationally televised All-Canada game after his senior season...also played in the British Columbia All-Star contest...three-year starter for the Ramblers.

PERSONAL: Jared Casey was born in October of 1988. In Lethridge, Alberta...was an honor roll student in High School and was named the top Math student...member of the Baseball national championship team...also is very fast and has run a 4:35 mile...nickname is J-Red.
