Biography

2016-17 (SENIOR): Played in four of the team’s nine events after making the team as a walk-on during the fall...recorded a stroke average of 76.1…best finish was a tie for 31st at the WCC Championships in Provo…made his USF debut as an individual competitor at the Olympic Invitational where he tied for 71st at 237 (79-78-80)…team qualified for the last three events of the season…tied for 114th at The Goodwin (83-74-75)…tied for 50th at the PING Cougar Classic with a 9-over score of 225 (75-75-75)…was 4-over 220 (73-77-70) at the WCC Championships to share of 31st place.
 
HIGH SCHOOL AND AMATEUR CAREER: Attended Mira Costa and Manhattan Beach High Schools…CIF Bay League Rookie of the Year in 2008…named Most Improved Athlete in 2009…four-year (2008-12) first team All-CIF Bay League selection…four-year first team Los Angeles Times’ All-City selection, as well…served as team captain as a senior…helped his team to a CIF Regional title in 2010 and a runner-up finish in ’12…lowest competitive round was a 68 shot at the AJGA Genesis Junior Championship at Sycuan Resort in El Cajon, Calif….finished second at the CIF Southern Division Championships at Lakewood (Calif.) Golf Club with a 68…recorded a top-10 finish at the IJGT Bridgestone Tournament of Champions at Grand Cypress Resort, Fla. After turning in rounds of 76-75-71…finished sixth in the LA City Junior Championships held at Encino and Balboa Golf Clubs.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Michael Robert D’Angelo…born August 27, 1993…parents are Estelle and David…has two older brothers, Morgan and Riley…plays out of The Lakes in El Segundo, Calif….listing Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach as his favorite course…lists Augusta National as the course he’d like most to play…dream foursome includes Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer and Michael Jordan…favorite golfer is Sergio Garcia…enjoys photography...majoring in psychology.
