Nilo Mauricio is entering his first season as the volunteer assistant beach volleyball coach on the Hilltop for the 2023 season.
Mauricio is about to start his sixth season as the head coach for the Skyline College women’s volleyball program. Nilo is also currently the coach for our USF Men’s volleyball club team. He has coached at multiple levels including club, high school, and community college for the past 30 years. Prior to Skyline College, he coached for Burlingame High School.
Nilo has also served as an assistant coach and player evaluator for the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program (formally called High Performance) for over 16 years. In 2018, Nilo was an Assistant Coach for the USA Select Continental Team that competed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He has also been coaching various clubs in the area for the past 20 years. He has qualified teams in all age groups to Junior Nationals. Nilo played with the men’s volleyball team at City College of San Francisco. His XLVB Men’s team played in Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA). They would end up winning multiple AA Gold League and Regional Championships. He has also participated in the USA Volleyball Open Championships and USA Volleyball Beach Open Championship together winning four gold, three silver, and one bronze medals from 2005 to 2010.
