(San Francisco) – San Francisco surpassed the century mark and cruised to a 104-70 victory against Portland in West Coast Conference action Thursday night at War Memorial Gym. The Dons (11-8, 1-4 WCC) put together its most complete game of the season in handling the Pilots (5-12, 2-2 WCC).
 
The last time the Dons scored 100-or-more points came on January 2, 2010 against Holy Names in a 129-64 triumph. The last time they scored 100-or-more against a league foe was January 6, 2007 in a 103-100 overtime victory against San Diego.
 
Senior Rashad Green led the way for the Dons, scoring 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including a perfect 7-for-7 in the first half. Redshirt sophomore Dominique O'Connor scored a career-high 16 points and added three assists.
 
USF sizzled offensively and shattered season highs from the floor and 3-point range. The Dons shot remarkable .670 (39-58) from the floor on the night and a stunning 72% (13-18) from long distance.
 
San Francisco led Portland by 17 points heading into the half and they wouldn't look back from there as it opened the second frame on a 16-2 run.
 
All told, five Dons scored in double figures and 11-of-13 Dons to enter the game scored. It was a big night for USF's front line.
 
Senior forward Angelo Caloiaro's first points of the night came in the second half and he was perfect from there on out, shooting 6-for-6 on the night en route to a 16-point effort. Sophomore forward Cole Dickerson entered the night 6-of-18 from behind the arc, but was 3-for-4 from distance, finishing with 11 points. Junior forward Perris Blackwell added 10 points and a game-high nine boards.
 
USF's relentless defense led to 21 Portland turnovers and the Dons matched a season-high with 14 steals. The Dons out-scored the Pilots 44-18 in the paint and USF reserves held a 44-28 advantage on their counterparts.
 
The Dons resume WCC play Saturday, January 14 against Pepperdine at War Memorial Gym. Tip-off against the Waves is set for at 1:30 PM in a game televised live on Comcast SportsNet California.
