Zhané Dikes
5-9 | Guard | Las Vegas, Nevada
Azzi's take: "A winner ... "

"I'm a very competitive person. In practice I like to win every drill, even if it's something small. I just love to win and I think this year we're really striving for a winning season and I know I'm going to help make sure we get those wins."

I'm most looking forward to ... the WCC championship tournament. I'm from Vegas and it's in Vegas. I'll be playing in front of all my family and friends and I know that we're going to win, so it's going to be the best feeling ever.
Playing for Coach Azzi is ... really an honor. I look up to her as a person. She's done so many great things on and off the court. It's a real honor to play for one of the best guards ever.
One thing I've learned is ... to use my strength and athleticism to overpower. She's taught me how to guard and how to be better. She's helped my skills overall.
The biggest difference between high school and college basketball is ... the effort and the strength. Here the practices and training is a lot harder and everyone is a lot stronger, so overall it's a lot tougher.
My favorite part of San Francisco is ... the diversity. I see a lot of different ethnicities and a lot of different people, and I really like that.

Taylor Proctor
6-0 | Forward | Colorado Springs, Colo.
Azzi's take: "A physicality and an aggressiveness that we've never had ... "

"I try to be aggressive, I try to be there for my team. So as long as my team is being aggressive, I'll be aggressive as well."

Coach Azzi is ... a phenomenal coach. She is there to help you on and off the court. She's always there trying to get us better. She knows the game, she played the game, she knows what we're going through and I think that's why we have an advantage.
One thing I've learned at USF is ... it's all about the teamwork.
The biggest difference between high school and college basketball is ... the fast pace.
I'm most looking forward to ... winning. It's going to be a total different ballgame than last year. The team is so hyped up and they're so energetic and we can't wait to start winning.

Bryn Stark
6-0 | Forward | La Jolla, Calif.
Azzi's take: "Raises our level ... "

"I think I bring versatility and I can do a lot of different things."

My favorite part of San Francisco is ... it's a fun city in that you can do pretty much anything on any given day because there are so many options.
Coach Azzi is ... really focused and very determined. I don't think she's ever going to give up on any team she coaches, so it's really inspiring to play for her. Her drive is impressive. She's not going to give up and she's worked hard for everything. She's been amazing places and now she's coming to this program and trying to make it amazing as well.
The biggest difference between high school and college basketball is ... it's more focused.
I'm most looking forward to ... putting some wins together, seeing how far we can go and making something special happen.

Denae Mary Wiliams
6-1 | Forward | Rialto, Calif.
Azzi's take: "The kind of post player I would have died to play with ... "

"When I started playing it was just stressed to me that physicality was the most important thing. You have to be strong. As Coach Shanele Stires would say, 'no softycakes'."

Coach Azzi is ... a really good teacher of the game. She knows the game inside and out from every position, so she's a great teacher. Practice is always energetic and upbeat.
One thing I've learned at USF is ... to shake off the mistakes.
The biggest difference between high school and college basketball is ... the pace of the game. I played pretty fast paced in high school, but here it's a lot more controlled fast pace. It's very precise decision making in a fast paced situation.
My favorite part of San Francisco is ... the weather. Where I'm from, it's extremely hot 10 months out of the year, so being here is a lot better.
I'm most looking forward to ... the WCC championship. I'm looking forward to winning it.
