Los Angeles, Calif.- The San Francisco men's soccer team dueled Loyola Marymount to a 1-1 tie at Sullivan Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Dons move to 5-6-3 and 3-4-1 in West Coast Conference action with the stalemate and the Lions now stand at 3-10-3 (1-5-2 WCC).

USF got on the board first, when Michael Shaddock, a junior from Chino Hills, Calif., netted his third goal of the season in the 31st minute of play. Liam Kelly's cross from the top of the box to the right side gave Shaddock a shot at the low near post that made its way past LMU goalkeeper Paul Blanchette for the score. This marks Kelly's team-leading third assist of the 2012 campaign.

The Lions' equalizer game in the 52nd minute when Pedro Velazquez' attempt found its way to the target to even the score. Both golden-goal overtimes were played without a goal to knot the contest at 1-1 at the final whistle.

The Dons were outshot in the game 23-10, but the on-target tries finished at a mark of 12-6 in favor of the LMU. Miguel Aguilar and Shaddock led the offensive attack, accounting for seven USF shots, five of which were on frame. USF senior goalkeeper Brendan Roslund amassed eight saves in the game to bring his season tally to 50 saves and a 1.08 goals-against average.

The Dons return to the pitch on Friday night at 7 p.m., for a tangle with Santa Clara to close out Rivalry Week festivities. USF will be looking to avenge a 2-1 loss to the Broncos on Oct. 7 to split the season series.
