Dons Host UNC-Pembroke in Final Exhibition Game Before Friday's Opener

USF Opens Regular Season Friday Night Against Stanford at Oracle Arena
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- USF will play its final exhibition game on Monday, as the Dons welcome the UNC-Pembroke Braves to Memorial Gymnasium for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
The audio stream of the game can be heard live at USFDons.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.
The game will mark USF's last tuneup before Friday night's season-opener against the Stanford Cardinal at Oracle Arena, which will tip off at 8:00 p.m.
The Dons downed San Francisco State, 93-77 in its first exhibition contest on Oct. 27, as six USF players reached double-figures led by Cole Dickerson's 21 points and 15 rebounds. Junior De'End Parker nailed four three-pointers and finished with 20 points, while freshman Tim Derksen added 13 on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor in his Dons debut.
Cody Doolin and Chris Adams each had 12 points.
UNC-Pembroke, a NCAA Division II school, dropped a 85-71 decision at Stanford on Sunday. Shahmel Brackett led the Braves in scoring with 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the floor, while George Blakeney added 14.
The Braves posted a 17-12 record last season and finished third in the Peach Belt Conference.
