Just the Facts, Ma'am
-
San Francisco (7-4) looks to continue its success on the hardwood of War Memorial Gym and extend its season winning streak to four. The Dons have only dropped one home contest this season, and are riding high with two 90-plus point victories in its last two outings on the Hilltop.
-
The Bulldogs (6-4) are hoping to earn their first win away from Fresno in the season and stop a two-game skid as they head to San Francisco. Fresno State is in the middle of a six-game road swing which sees the team travel up and down the West Coast. After dropping games at Portland and Oregon and then facing the Dons, the Bulldogs head to Santa Clara, Cal State Bakersfield and San Diego State before finally returning home Jan. 12.
In It to Win It
-
USF's 7-4 start is the best opening to a season since the Jennifer Azzi era began in 2010-11. The last time the Dons were above the .500 mark 11 games into the season was 2007-08, when USF finished 14-16 overall and notched its last double-digit win tally on the year.

-
USF led by as many as 17 points midway through the first half before the Mustangs stormed back to take the lead and threaten to snap the Dons winning streak. Despite a tie as late as 67 apiece, sharp shooting and steady nerves at the line by Aundrea Gordon and Mel Khlok gave the Dons the last four points in the game and extended the streak to three.
-
Sophomore Alicia Scafidi posted her third-straight double-digit rebounding effort, going for a career-high 13 boards in the contest, all defensive. Her efforts help the Dons to first place in the conference in defensive rebounds a game (30.3). USF is tied for 39th in the country in total rebounds, crashing the glass 39.5 times a game.
Tenacious D
-

-
USF's opponent field goal percentage mark surpasses teams like No. 10/11 Tennessee, No. 13/14 Louisville, and No. 12/16 UCLA, to name a few.
