Rex Walters will be a guest on the Gary & Larry Show on KNBR 680 Friday, February 24, starting at approximately 10:30 AM. Walters will talk about about the Dons' late-season surge as it prepares for No. 23 Saint Mary's Saturday night in the 2011-12 regular season finale.
Coach Walters will recap USF's strong finish to one of the toughest West Coast Conference races in memory. The Dons have won eight of their last 11 games after struggling out of the WCC gate.
In addition, Walters will talk about the upcoming 2012 Zappos.com WCC Tournament beginning next week at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Dons have secured the No. 5 seed in the tournament where many seeds are still very much up for grabs entering the final weekend of league action.
San Francisco concludes the 2011-12 regular season when it hosts Bay Area rival and league-leading No. 23 Saint Mary's to the Hilltop Saturday, February 25. Tip-off against the Gaels is set for 8:00 PM in a game televised live on Comcast SportsNet California and broadcast on 95.7 The GAME. The Dons will honor their seniors -
