USF VS. LMU IN QUARTERFINALS:  After defeating No. 8 Portland 87-66 on Thursday to open the 2012 Zappos.com West Coast Conference Championship, USF takes on No. 4 Loyola Marymount Friday, March 2 at 6:00 PM from the Orleans Arena. The contest will be televised nationally by ESPNU and carried on USFDons.com via Stretch Internet.

SEMIFINALS SATURDAY: The winner of the No. 4 seed Loyola Marymount vs. No. 5 San Francisco contest will take on regular season champion No. 21 Saint Mary's Saturday, March 3 at 6:00 PM at the Orleans Arena in a game televised on ESPN2.

SCOUTING No. 4 LMU: The Lions enter the 2012 Zappos.com West Coast Conference Championship after going 11-5 during league play. LMU managed 70.0 points per game during WCC action and allowed 66.7 points per night vs. league foes. The Lions dropped a 60-57 home loss to San Diego before bouncing back for a 68-65 triumph against Santa Clara in the 2011-12 regular season finale at Gersten Pavilion.

MOVING ON UP: Senior forward Angelo Caloiaro enters the quarterfinals of the 2012 Zappos.com WCC Championship ranked No. 18 on the USF career scoring list with 1,247 points (10.0 ppg). Next up is USF Hall-of-Famer Dennis Black (1966-68), who scored 1,269 (16.1).

MOVING ON UP II: Senior guard Rashad Green enters the quarterfinals of the 2012 Zappos.com WCC Championship at No. 37 on the USF career scoring chart with 944 (10.4) Junior guard Michael Williams is right on Green's heels at No. 38 with 941 points (10.8).
