The Spartans held onto their lead throughout the match, until the Dons rallied late. With 75:07 on the clock, SJSU was called on a foul, setting USF up to tie the match.

San Francisco used a strong offensive attack during the game, out shooting San Jose State 15-11. Both defenses stepped up in extra time, allowing just five shots between in the two teams in overtime.
Mackenzie Krieser led the Dons with eight shots, three on goal.
USF returns to the pitch Sunday as they host Fresno State at 1 p.m. The match at Negoesco will mark the home debut of this season's Green and Gold.
