SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco women's volleyball team is set to host their first West Coast Conference game of the season, welcoming No. 11 BYU this Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at War Memorial Gym. The Cougars are currently the highest ranked team the Dons will welcome to the Hilltop this season and are a perfect 14-0 overall and 2-0 in WCC play.

The USF Athletic Department will be giving away FREE USF drawstring backpacks to the first 500 fans in attendance Thursday night and the match will also be a WCC REPRESENT game, the first of the year for USF.  

The Dons (10-5, 1-1) are coming off a 1-1 roadtrip this past week, losing to University of San Diego 3-1 on Sept. 20, but bouncing back in strong fashion against Loyola Marymount last Saturday, winning 3-2, for their first West Coast Conference victory of the season. Freshman outside hitter Ester De Vries led the Dons attack with a team-high 19 kills. De Vries also added eight digs and one block solo to help USF to it's 10th win on the year.   Jocelyn Levig tallied 14 kills, three service aces and four digs, while sophomore sensation Valentina Zaloznik led the Dons with a .500 attack percentage on 12 kills and only two errors. Setter Leanna Ludes recorded 50 assists to setup the San Francisco attack, the third time she has recorded 50-or-more assists this season. Libero Rebecca Kopilovitch tied her season-high total of 26 digs on Saturday, which she first totaled against UC Davis on Sept. 11. 

USF BY THE NUMBERS

- The Dons are a perfect 4-0 at home this season and have won six of their last eight matches entering Thursday night.

- Jocelyn Levig leads all Dons with 204 kills on the seaosn, ranking third in the entire WCC. Levig also ranks third in the WCC with 0.45 service aces per set. 

- The Dons rank third in the WCC in digs (819) and fifth in hitting pct. (.240)

- Setter Leanna Ludes has recorded 521 assists (10.24 avg/s) this season, ranking fourth in the WCC.

- Libero Rebecca Kopilovitch ranks third in the WCC with 4.52 digs per set, having tallied 244 on the season.

BYU BY THE NUMBERS

- The Cougars rank fist in the conference in hitting pct. (.336), opponent hitting pct. (.141), kills per set (14.85) and blocks per set (2.74).

- Nicole Warner and Kathryn LeCheminant lead the conference in hitting with .451 and .443 percentages, respectively. Warner also leads the WCC in blocks per set with 1.48. 

- Ciara Parker leads BYU and ranks second in the conference in digs per set with 5.00.
