USF Travels to Moraga in Search of First WCC Victory
After suffering three straight losses by a combined total of 13 points, USF (7-9, 0-3 WCC) will look to get into the WCC win column for the first time this season when the Dons travel to Moraga to face the Saint Mary's Gaels (12-4, 1-1 WCC) at McKeon Pavilion.
The game will be carried live on Comcast SportsNet California with Glen Kuiper and former USF head coach Dan Belluomini calling the action.
USF has lost three straight and eight of its last 10 games following Thursday's night's home loss to San Diego, 70-66.
Saint Mary's dropped an 83-78 decision at Gonzaga Thursday night to fall to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
USF-Saint Mary's Series
Dating back to the 1947-48 season, USF holds a 103-70 advantage in head-to-head meetings with Saint Mary's. However, the Gaels have won 14 straight and 18 out of the last 19 meetings between the two schools dating back to the 2003-04 season.
Saint Mary's current stretch of success matches the longest win streak in the series by either school since USF won 14 straight between 1952-58.
Saint Mary's won all three meetings against USF last season (87-72 in Moraga; 67-60 in San Francisco; 83-78 WCC Tournament).
USF's last win in the series came in the first meeting of the 2005-06 season, when the Dons pulled out a 53-52 victory on the Hilltop. USF's last win in Moraga came in the 2002-03 campaign, 68-67.
The Matchup
Saturday's USF-Saint Mary's game features two of the top shooting teams in the WCC, as the Gaels rank second in conference field goal percentage at 49.8 while the Dons rank third at 45.8.
USF and Saint Mary's are also the top three-point shooting teams in the conference. The Gaels lead the WCC in three-point percentage at 39.4 while the Dons rank second at 39.2. Saint Mary's makes an average of 8.4 three's a game (2nd WCC) while the Dons managed 7.3 treys (3rd WCC) per game.

The Dons are 5-2 this season when shooting 50 percent or better from the floor, with its only losses in those seven games coming against Ole Miss (50.9) and BYU (50.0).

The last USF player to average a double-double for an entire season was Darrell Tucker, when he scored 18.9 points and grabbed 10.1 rebounds a game in 2001-02.
Dickerson also posted double-doubles in both exhibition games against San Francisco State (21-15) and UNC-Pemboke (24-10).
Dickerson averaged 7.1 ppg and 4.0 rpg in 34 games last season, including one start.
Dickerson Takes Over Team Scoring Lead
Cole Dickerson has averaged 18.1 points over his last eight games (145) total, including a career-best 30-point effort vs. Dominican, and now leads the team in scoring with a 15.6 per game average - seventh best in the WCC.
Dickerson has scored in double-figures in all but one game (St. John's) this season and has scored 20 or more points in three contests (20 at American; 30 vs. Dominican; 22 vs. BYU).
