USF Looks to Snap Five-Game Skid Saturday vs. Loyola Marymount
USF (7-11, 0-5 WCC) will look to snap its five-game losing streak Saturday afternoon when the Dons play host to the Loyola Marymount Lions (8-10, 1-4 WCC) Saturday afternoon on The Hilltop. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Gymnasium.
The game will be televised on Comcast Sports Net California with Barry Tompkins and Dan Belluomini calling the action.
USF is coming off a 85-54 home loss to Santa Clara on Thursday night in a game that saw the Dons shoot an icey 32.0 percent from the field. Loyola Marymount suffered a 78-70 setback Wednesday night in San Diego.

Conference Start
The last time USF lost its first five games to open conference play was in the 2000-01 season. The Dons last 0-6 start in WCC play was during the 1991-92 season when USF dropped its first seven conference games.
USF is amid its second five-game losing streak of the season (Dec. 8-23 vs. Pacific, Nevada, Holy Cross, San Diego State and Ole Miss). The last time the Dons lost six straight games was during the 2009-10 campaign (Arizona State, UC Santa Barbara, Montana State, Colorado State, Colorado, BYU) following a 2-0 start.

In three of USF's five conference losses, the Dons trailed by two points with 31 seconds or less remaining in the game. Parker ranks 10th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 51.2 (21-for-41) while Doolin is averaging 6.2 assists per game to rank 21st among the national leaders.

USF shot a season-low 32 percent from the field Thursday night against Santa Clara, connecting on just 16-of-50 shots, including 3-of-19 from three-point range.
Matt Christiansen was 5-for-5 from the floor while the rest of the team was 11-for-45 (24.4 percent).
The Dons had shot 48.1 percent (210-for-436) from the field over the previous eight games, including a season-best 55.9 percent (33-for-59) vs. Dominican. The Dons are 5-3 this season when shooting 50 percent or better from the floor, with its only losses in those eight games coming against Ole Miss (50.9), BYU (50.0) and Saint Mary's (51.0).
USF currently ranks fourth in the WCC in field goal percentage at 45.3 percent.
Freshman Tim Derksen ranks fifth in the WCC in field goal percentage at 53.1 percent (60-for-113).

USF ranks second in the WCC and 26th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 38.4 (128-for-333).

USF is shooting 72.7 (104-for-143) percent from the line over the last eight games after converting on just 61.1 (132-for-216) of its charity tries over the first 10 games of the year. However, the Dons still rank ninth in the WCC in free throw percentage at 65.7.
Cody Doolin ranks fourth in the WCC in free throw percentage at 87.3 percent (69-for-79) while the rest of the team is shooting 59.6 percent (167-for-280) from the line.
Defensive Doings
The 85 points allowed to Santa Clara Thursday night matched a season-high by an opponent this season (Ole Miss; 12-23). USF also yielded a season-high 14 three-pointers to the Broncos.
USF is allowing 69.6 points a game, which ranks eighth among WCC teams. Opponents are shooting 44.4 percent from the floor, which is the highest percentage allowed in the conference. The Dons also rank ninth in the conference in blocks (1.8) and eighth in steals (5.3) per game.
Dickerson's Doubles
Cole Dickerson is averaging a double-double 18 games into the 2012-13 campaign, as the junior forward from Federal Way, Wash. is scoring 14.7 points and grabbing 10.6 rebounds per game.
Dickerson has posted eight double-doubles in 18 games this season against Stanford (11-19), Cal State-East Bay (14-15), Columbia (10-14), Montana (19-20), Holy Cross (17-17), San Diego State (15-12), Dominican (30-10) and Santa Clara (17-12) and was a rebound away from double-doubles in four other games against Pacific (14-9), Nevada (11-9), East Tennessee State (19-9) and BYU (22-9).
The last USF player to average a double-double for an entire season was Darrell Tucker, when he scored 18.9 points and grabbed 10.1 rebounds a game in 2001-02.
Dickerson also posted double-doubles in both exhibition games against San Francisco State (21-15) and UNC-Pemboke (24-10).
Dickerson averaged 7.1 ppg and 4.0 rpg in 34 games last season, including one start.
