Rose City Collegiate Final Results
AURORA, Ore. -- USF's women's golf team shot a final round 307 today to finish seventh at the Rose City Collegiate which was held at Langdon Farms Golf Club outside of Portland.
The Dons finished with a 36-hole team score of 615 (+39), two strokes behind sixth place Washington State (613; +37) and four strokes behind fifth place Portland State (611; +35). Cal State-Fullerton finished fourth at 609 (+33).
Oregon State won the rain-shortened tournament with a score of 586 (+10) to earn a 14 stroke victory over Gonzaga and UC Irvine, which tied for second at 600 (+24).
Anica Yoo of Oregon State claimed medalist honors with a 2-under score of 142 on rounds of 69 and 73 to earn a one stroke victory over UC Irvine's Luciane Lee (143).
USF sophomore Emelie Lundstrom secured her second top-10 finish of the season in as many starts, placing ninth with a 5-over score of 149. After shooting a 1-under 71 in poor weather conditions on Monday, Lundstrom finished was 6-over on her Tueesday round for a closing 78.
No other USF players managed to crack the top-20 in the event.
Clare Sorensen (78-77) and Ayaka Suzuki (79-76) tied for 25th at 155 while senior Peppiina Kaija finished 33rd at 156 (80-76).
Freshman Alison Lillie carded rounds of 81 and 82 to finish 66th at 163 (+19).
USF will be back in action next week at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee Country Club outside of Seattle.
