Final Results
SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- USF's women's golf team tied Columbia for 10th place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational which wrapped up today at the Sahalee Country Club outside of Seattle.
The Dons shot a final round 313 (+25) on Wednesday to finish at 931 (+67) for the 54 hole event. USF and Columbia finished nine strokes behind Colorado, ranked 32nd in the nation by Golfstat.com.
Stanford won the event with a 1-under team score of 863, good for a 25 stroke victory over second place Washington (890). Central Florida (898), Oregon (903) and California (906) rounded out the top five.
Stanford's Mariah Stackhouse captured medalist honors with a 7-under score of 209. The Cardinal sophomore shot a final round 71 to overtake teammmate Mariko Tumangan, who posted a closing round 75 to finish at 212.
Sophomore Emelie Lundstrom was USF's top finisher, tying for 22nd place at 226 (+10). Lundstrom made four bogeys and 14 pars for a final round 76.
Freshman Ayaka Suzuki tied for 29th at 229 (+13), collecting two birdies on her last five holes.
Alison Lillie shot a final round 77 with five bogeys and 13 pars and tied for 34th at 232 (+17).
Clare Sorensen tied for 60th at 245 after closing with an 84 while Peppiina Kaija shot a final round 83 and tied for 62nd at 248 (+32).
USF will return to action this weekend at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational, which gets underway on Saturday in Palm Desert, Calif.
