#WeAreSF
The University of San Francisco women's volleyball heads on what is expected to be one of the toughest road trips of the 2013 campaign, as the Dons are pitted against two Top 25-ranked teams over the weekend.

First, USF will travel to face the No. 12 team in the nation at San Diego for their Pink Week match. Thursday's contest will feature the top team in the WCC in a number of categories, including kills (15.04) and assists (14.24) per set. Chloe Ferrari, the WCC Player of the Month for September, is leading the conference in hitting percentage, with .426 of her attempts going down for kills. That mark is good for 18th in the nation for the senior from Clovis, Calif. Toreros dig master C'era Oliveira is second in the conference with a 4.67 dig per set average and is ranked 59th in the country.

Saturday's match with BYU will see the Dons face off against the only undefeated team in WCC action. The Cougars lead the league in hitting percentage (.260) and blocks, as three of the top eight blockers in the WCC play in Provo. Whitney Young leads the way with 1.48 blocks per set as BYU stands in 14th in the country in the category, averaging 2.79 blocks per set.

This will mark the third consecutive meeting between USF and BYU in which the Cougars were ranked in the AVCA Top 25, and the 10th straight time USD has been ranked when the Dons and Toreros faced off. The last time USF picked up a win against either of these opponents was Sept. 22, 2011, a 3-0 sweep of then-No.16 San Diego in San Francisco.

Potent Quotables
"Anyone can beat anyone, it's amazing. We're going to better in the next month, so we should be equipped to beat more teams. Our goal is to win as many as we can and this weekend we'll have to be really good against good competition. We need to steal one to be in good position heading into the week with Pacific and Saint Mary's.

"We're definitely going to need to hit as well as we did against Portland against those two teams. We need to serve better, and probably defend better. But if we can hit these numbers we'll be tough to stop, whoever we play." - head coach Gilad Doron

Portland Remix
One of the most well-rounded team performances of the season, the Dons were led by 14 kills on .560 hitting from senior Malina Terrell, making her first start since being sidelined with injury for the better part of September. Mackenzie Murtagh and Kiara McKibben combined for 31 assists and Rebecca Kopilovitch added 16 digs to edge closer to fourth in USF's career digs list. The senior libero from Israel needs just 10 more to pass USF Hall of Famer Brittanie Budinger.

Valentina Zaloznik's offense is leading the Dons this season, with her .367 hitting percentage good for second in the WCC. She's put up team-highs of 183 kills, 60 total blocks and 19 aces.
