#WeAreSF
The University of San Francisco women's volleyball snapped a four-game winning streak Saturday at Gonzaga, but looks to start anew against WCC-leading No. 21 BYU. Following Thursday's match with the Cougars, the Dons welcome top-10 opponent, No. 8 San Diego, to San Francisco on Saturday. USF has won its past four home matches at War Memorial Gym to stand at 5-3 on the Hilltop this season.

Pacific Northwest Remix
The Dons celebrated Halloween in style, with a win against Portland to give head coach Gilad Doron his 100th at the helm. Junior Anja Segota led the way with a 16-kill, 15-dig double-double in USF's 3-1 win. After knocking off the Pilots, USF's road trip continued to Gonzaga, where the Dons and Bulldogs tangled in a tight contest for the second time this season. And, again for the second time of the year, Gonzaga escaped the match with a tight 3-2 victory.

Terrell powered home 29 total kills on the weekend to leap over three alumnae in the record books to stand in 14th on the all-time kills list. She needs 23 more kills to jump to 11th in the USF record books.

Scouting the Dons
USF's Zaloznik is leading the way with 245 kills on a .353 attack percentage,  good for third in the WCC. She's added team-highs of 88 total blocks and 26 service aces to go along with her 324 total points on the year.

Senior Mackenzie Murtagh leads USF in assists on the year, tallying 496, or 5.51 per set, to pace the Dons. Kopilovitch stands as the USF dig leader in 2013 with 330 and her 4.02 per set average ranks third in the conference.

Scouting the Cougars
Best in the West in blocking, freshman Whitney Young's 1.62 swats per set leads to league and ranks third in the NCAA. Not alone in her shot-blocking skills, Young in joined on the national lists by Kathryn LeCheminant. The senior averages 1.27 blocks per set, good for 46th in the country. The Cougars narrowly miss the top spot in the nation in the team blocking standings, averaging 3.01 blocks per set. Dayton, sitting at a 3.06 average, is the only squad better than BYU in the category.

Scouting the Toreros
As a team, San Diego leads the WCC in hitting percentage, opponent hitting percentage, assists, kills and digs. Nationally, the Toreros are secondin assists per set (14.5) and third in kills per set (15.29). Senior Chloe Ferrari, reigning conference Player of the Month for both October and November, is eighth in the nation in hitting percentage (.452) and teammate Katie Hoekman comes in 41st in the country at .373.

Winning Ways
Head coach Gilad Doron sits at 100 career wins at the helm of the University of San Francisco volleyball program. Doron hit the century mark on the Hilltop in his 50th victory over a WCC opponent when they took down Portland Oct. 31. He already stands as the winningest and longest tenured coach in program history.

WCC Player of the Week
Valentina Zaloznik's selection as WCC Player of the Week (Oct. 21) was the first Don to be recognized by the conference for a weekly honor in nearly four years. The last USF player awarded this weekly honor was Haley Carroll (Nov. 9, 2009).

Home is Where the Heart Is
... and for the USF volleyball team, their heart is in the City by the Bay. All told, the Dons have traveled more the 53,220 miles from Hometown to the Hilltop, and the roster represents six countries and three states.
