• Improved to 6-4 overall with a 77-48 home victory over Nicholls State on Saturday in Memorial Gymnasium...Cole Dickerson scored a game-high 20 points while Tim Derksen added 15 to pace USF scoring.
• Dons have won three of their last four and four of their last six games since dropping two straight.
• Played nine games in 22 days but are now in a stretch that will see the team play just three games in 22 days to conclude the non-conference schedule.
• Have played eight of the first 10 games at home...are 1-1 on the road, splitting a road trip to Montana (W, 75-74) and No. 17 Oregon (L, 82-100).
• Have scored 90+ points five times this season and are the WCC's third-highest scoring team averaging 84.4 ppg.
• Coming off the best defensive effort of the season on Saturday in which the Dons limited Nicholls State to 48 points and 32.1 shooting from the floor - both season lows for opponents this season.
• Have allowed 90 points or more in all four losses this season, including a season-high 100 points at Oregon on Nov. 24...allowing 77.0 ppg which ranks eighth in the WCC.
• Rank 10th in the WCC in field goal defense at 47.2 percent.
• Have shot 50 percent or better from the floor in six of 10 games this season and are shooting 49.7 percent on the season, third-best in the WCC.
• Made 8-of-17 three-point tries vs. Nicholls State but are shooting just 35.2 percent (54-for-153) from beyond the arc over the last seven games...shooting 36.9 percent from long distance on the season - sixth in the WCC.
• Shooting 61.4 percent (118-for-192) from the line over the last seven games, dropping the season percentage to its present mark of 64.2, which ranks last in the WCC.
• Have outrebounded seven of its first 10 opponents and hold a 36.5-31.8 advantage on the boards 10 games into the season...were outrebounded by over 2.0 boards a game last year.
• Top five scorers are averaging between 15.4 and 9.6 points per game...five different players have taken team high-scoring honors in nine games this season.
• USF's bench is averaging 26.5 ppg (265 total) this season...the Dons have led in scoring by a non-starer in four games on the year (Kruize Pinkins 3; Chris Adams 1).
• Senior Cole Dickerson is averaging 21.7 points while shoorting 63.0 percent (29-for-46) from the field, including 52.9 percent (9-for-17), from 3-point range, over his last four games...leads the team in scoring at 15.4 ppg.
• Sophomore Tim Derksen is 20-for-27 (74.0) from the floor and is averaging 13.5 ppg over the last four contests.
• Will wrap up the non-conference schedule Sunday with a home game vs. American (2:00 p.m.).

TIP-OFF: The USF Dons (6-4, 0-0 WCC) head east to face the St. John's Red Storm (6-3, 0-0 BIG EAST) Wednesday night at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, NY. The Dons are coming off a 77-48 victory last Saturday vs. Nicholls State, while the Red Storm dropped a 68-63 decision to No. 2 Syracuse Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

SERIES HISTORY: St. John's leads the all-time series vs. USF, 4-3. The Dons posted a 81-65 victory over the Red Storm on Dec. 4 of last season in San Francisco. In its last visit to Queens, USF dropped a 92-77 to St. John's on Dec. 31, 2000. In addition to last years victory, USF's other two wins in the series came in 1969-70 (67-60) and 1976-77 (80-70). St. John's claimed wins in 1949-50 (60-44), 1950-51 (67-47) and 1995-96 (80-78).

LAST YEAR'S MEETING: De'End Parker scored a team-high 21 points while Cody Doolin added 18 to go along with a career-high 16 assists to lead USF to a 81-65 victory over St. John's on Dec. 4, 2012 in San Francisco. USF was nursing a three-point lead at 59-56 with 7:41 remaining before seizing control of the game with a 15-4 run to take a 74-60 lead with 2:21 left. Mark Tollefsen came off the bench to score 11 points while Tim Derksen added 10 as the Dons won their fifth straight game. JaKarr Sampson had 22 points while D'Angelo Harrison added 14 to pace the Red Storm.
