Women's Track Posts Four Wins at West Coast Invitational

SALEM, Ore. – The University of San Francisco women's track team closed the regular season with a slew of solid marks at the West Coast Invitational on Saturday.

The Dons posted wins in the 200 meters, 800 meters, 1,500 meters and the 4x400 meter relay. Leading the charge to the top of the podium in the relay was the foursome of Hillary Harris, Lea Lundblad, Kamilah Davis and Katherine Jamboretz. The team finished with a mark of 3:54.85 in the victory. Along with posting a win, the Dons broke a five-year-old school record in the process.

In the 800 meters, Harris earned yet another win. The sophomore form Hillsboro, Ore., finished the race in 2:09.55 to nab the victory and earn a new collegiate best.

The 1,500 meters was won by Sophie Curl with a time of 4:24.40. Jamboretz, another member of the record-setting relay squad, earned sixth after finishing in 4:31.45.

Davis, a sophomore from San Jose, Calif., took USF's fourth win of the day, sprinting to a time of 25.68 seconds in the 200 meters. The school record-holder in both the 100 and 200 meters, she shaved .06 seconds off her previous best in the 100 and clocked in a 12.43 s to finish in second place.

Maor Tiyouri, junior from Kfar Saba, Israel, smashed her personal best in the 5,000 meters en route to a runner-up finish with a time of 16:30.35. The distance featured 42 competitors with Tiyouri outpacing all but one.

The now Dons await their postseason fate. The field for the NCAA West Regionals will be set on Thursday, with the top 48 qualifiers earning bids to compete May 23-25 in Austin, Texas.
