SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Dons close out their West Coast Conference schedule this weekend at BYU, needing just one win to clinch a second-place finish in the conference and with that, a spot in the upcoming WCC tournament at the end of the month.

Transfer of Power - Zachary Turner drove in 28 runs in April and added three more against Pepperdine over the weekend. Turner leads the West Coast Conference in RBIs (49) and is tied for first in hits (64). The junior ranks third in batting average (.348), fifth in slugging percentage (.533) and is tied for fourth with seven home runs. Turner hit the first walk-off home run of his USF career Tuesday in a 4-2 win.
Senior Special - Justin Maffei was 9-for-20 (.450) last week, scoring five runs and driving in a pair. Maffei hit the second home run in Tuesday's three home run ninth-inning comeback over San Jose State.
Middle of the Pack - USF ranks seventh in the West Coast Conference with a .255 batting average. The Dons are second in doubles (85), and third in home runs (23) and total bases (587). The Dons pitching staff ranks second in the conference in ERA (3.26), batting average against (.249), third in runs allowed (188), first in innings pitched (438.2) and first in walks allowed (123).
Mound Presence - Senior
Haden Hinkle is 8-1, with a 1.60 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 67.2 innings pitched. Hinkle is second in the West Coast Conference in ERA and leads the WCC in batting average against (.194). His eight wins are good for a share of second. Hinkle pitched seven innings in Friday's win over Pepperdine, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out six.
