Complete Game Notes (PDF)

• The Buzz •
USF continues to roll through the season, closing the non-conference slate with a perfect 7-0 home record. The Dons, 9-2 on the year, are seeking to extend their home streak to eight games for the first time since 1996-97. The last time USF opened the year with an 9-2 mark was the that same season when the Dons earned their third straight bid into the March Madness field.

• #WeAreSF •
The Dons have two women averaging double-digit scoring at the conclusion of the non-conference portion of the season. Taylor Proctor posts a team-leading 14.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists a night on .462 shooting. The junior from Colorado Springs, Colo., is the reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Week after compiling 32 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and four blocks in USF wins over North Texas and San Jose State. Zhane Dikes is averaging 10.6 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Dons.

With a renewed intensity on defense, the Dons stand in first in field goal percentage defense (.342) and scoring defense (56.3 ppg) and second in scoring margin (+12.6) in the WCC. USF's field goal percentage defense figure ranks 28th in the nation.

• Know the Foe •
Kendall Kenyon leads the way for Pacific, averaging a double-double per night. Her 12.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game is tops for the team. In fact, the preseason All-WCC selection leads the league in rebounding average and the senior forward rates 18th in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game (4.0).

Despite shooting .386 from the field, Pacific leads the WCC in 3-pointers per game with 6.6 a contest to make up the scoring gap with extra points per basket. Along with long-range scoring, the Tigers benefit from a league-leading turnover margin of +5.45 and the team averaged 10.5 steals a game.

• Dons in the National Rankings •
As a team, the Dons stand in the top 50 in the NCAA in six total categories:
• Scoring Defense (56.3) - 42nd
• Field Goal Percentage Defense (.342) - 28th
• 3-Point FG Percentage Defense (27.1) - 50th
• Free Throw Percentage (75.2) - 26th
• Turnover Margin (+4.36) - 47th
• Won-Lost Percentage (81.8) - 37th
Individually, Taylor Proctor's four double-doubles is tied for 45th in the country.

• Last Time Out •
The San Francisco defense did what it's been doing all season – stifling opponents to low point totals. In last Saturday's contest against San Jose State, the NCAA's highest scoring offense, USF locked down to hold the Spartans 30 points below their season scoring average. The Dons came away victorious in the 77-62 affair at War Memorial Gym to close out non-conference play.

USF was led by a foursome of double-digit scorers, headed by senior Paige Spietz' effective 20 points on 6-of-7 shooting and a 7-of-9 effort from the free throw line. Spietz' 20 points represents a new career high, and her nine rebounds, including three on the offensive glass, is a new season high for the senior from Brimfield, Ill.

USF's wire-to-wire win was its third straight, as the team also never trailed against Seattle and North Texas.
