SAN JOSE, Calif.—Former Diamond Dons pitcher Matt Lujan has been called up to Class A-San Jose and will make his first start on the mound on Tuesday for the San Jose Giants at Municipal Stadium.
 
Lujan, who pitched for the Dons from 2008 to 2011, went 6-2 with a 2.19 ERA in 70 innings this season for Class Low A-Augusta. He made 12 appearances with 10 starts for the Green Jackets before being called up.
 
The San Jose Giants play at 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday against the Modesto Nuts.
 
Through his first three minor league seasons, Lujan is 17-3 with a 2.62 ERA in 185.1 innings.
