SAN FRANCISCO—The Diamond Dons locked up the final member of their 2015 squad this week with the signing of Oregon transfer Connor Hofmann.Â
Â
"[Hofmann] brings an element of speed and defensive ability to the team that will be very valuable this coming season," San Francisco head coach
Nino Giarratano said. "He has gained great experience the last three years at the University of Oregon, and I believe he is going to help contribute to a very successful season."
Â
The 6-foot, 175-pounder played over 130 games with 21 stolen bases in his three seasons with the Ducks and looks to be a key competent for the Dons in the spring. Hofmann was drafted out of St. Augustine High School (San Diego, Calif.) in the 16th round by the San Diego Padres in the 2010 MLB Draft.
Â
Hofmann joins an incoming class that already includes 10 including Dakota Shadoan, Jeider Rincon and Frank Waliczek.
