SAN JOSE, Calif. – USF women's tennis came short in their match against San Jose State, 3-4.
 
It was San Jose's doubles wins that gave them the lead they needed to take the game from the Dons. Andrea Ka and Marina Nikolic battled it out however to win their doubles match 6-2 against Sybille Gauvain and Gaelle Rey and added to their winning record for the season of 3-0.
 
In singles play the Dons put up quite a fight against San Jose winning three singles matches. Ka served up a win against Sybille Gauvain, 6-2, 2-6, 10-6. Thyra Taune followed suit with a win against Gaelle Rey of 5-7, 6-4, 10-6. Milica Hadzi-Tanovic defeated Juliana Bacelar in two sets, 7-5, 6-4. However San Jose took three other singles matches that led them to the win.
 
USF will be headed to Fresno State on February 6 for their next match.
