SAN FRANCISCO –– In Friday's San Francisco State Invitational in Golden Gate Park, the Dons were led by Nick Hicks, who finished the course in 26:10.0 to earn 50th overall in the field of over 200 runners.Connor Cavassa finished next for USF, running a 26:27.2 for a 73rd-place finish. After Cavassa came Monsalud, who finished 104th with a time of 26:51.7. Caleb McClain also competed for the Dons, placing 154th with a time of 28:02.0.
Chico State swept the awards, as William Reyes won the race with a time of 24:35.2. As a team, Chico State scored 23 points to lead all universities. Behind them were Cal Baptist with a score of 82 and San Francisco State with a score of 111.
