The Buzz
The Dons look for to halt a 19-game losing streak to the Gonzaga Bulldogs and notch a milestone mark of their own. Should USF manage the victory, the Dons would have their highest win tally since 2001-02's WNIT tournament season when the team went 18-12. With the Dons' next win, the team will guarantee a .500 or better winning percentage on the year, a mark not seen since that same 2001-02 season.

Tale of the Tape
When the Dons have the ball ...
USF Scoring Offense - 67.8 (4th) • Gonzaga Scoring Defense - 59.1 (2nd)

USF 3FG Pct. - .311 (6th) • Gonzaga 3FG Pct. Defense - .266 (1st)

(WCC rank in parentheses)

#WeAreSF
The Dons have three women averaging double-digit scoring, paced by Taylor Proctor's team-leading 15.5 points on .489 shooting and 8.0 rebounds a night. Proctor ranks in the WCC top 10 in all three categories.

Taj Winston puts up 10.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Her steals average is good for first in the league and 44th in the NCAA. Zhane Dikes adds 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and a team-high 2.7 assists a night for the Dons.

Know the Foe
The Bulldogs enter the game on a 13-game winning streak, as the team remains undefeated in WCC play. Saturday's Pink Game is the 15th sellout of the McCarthey Athletic Center of the season.

The Bulldogs are paced by a trio of double-digit scorers, with Sunny Greinacher's 14.2 points per game on .492 shooting leading the way. Keani Albanez (11.8 ppg) and Elle Tinkle (11.5 ppg) also key the league's highest scoring offense (71.0 ppg).

As a team, the Bulldogs also lead the WCC in scoring margin (+11.9 - 30th in the NCAA), free throw percentage (.771 - 7th in the NCAA), and 3-point field goal percentage defense (.266 - 18th in the NCAA)

Gonzaga Remix
The Dons battled to the finish, but Gonzaga took the 74-64 victory at War Memorial Gym on Jan. 8. USF was paced by Taylor Proctor's 17 points and nine rebounds, but the Dons couldn't overcome a 12-point halftime deficit. The Bulldogs got  24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, seven rebounds and three steals to lead the Zags to victory.

USF & Gonzaga - The Series
The Bulldogs hold a 35-24 advantage in the all-time series, and Gonzaga is riding a 19-game winning streak over USF. The last win over the Bulldogs came March 2, 2006, a 75-67 over the WCC Championship hosts in a #2 vs. #7 seed matchup. The last regular season victory occurred Feb. 15, 2004. Also in Spokane, the Dons posted a 59-53 win.

Last Time Out
The San Francisco women's basketball team put on a clinic at the Chiles Center, downing Portland 79-44 Thursday night.

The Dons shot 55.2 percent from the floor, compared to Portland's 29.1 percent shooting. USF outrebounded the Pilots by an impressive 42 to 26 margin, the largest rebounding difference against a conference foe. Portland, the league's leading 3-point shooting team, managed just a 5-for-19 effort from long range.

Taylor Proctor led the team with 17 points on 70 percent shooting and five rebounds. Taj Winston added 14 points, Zhane Dikes finished with a career high seven assists and every available woman on the roster scored a bucket in the wire-to-wire drubbing.

Milestones
In the Dons' home contest against BYU, USF junior Taylor Proctor and senior Taj Winston both joined the 1,000-point club. The exclusive list of 20 women is headlined by Mary Hile-Nepfel's school record for both genders of 2,326 points.

Jump Around
As was the trend last season, USF has been solid on the opening tip, with the Dons winning 21-of-23 - 91.3  percent - of jumps from the circle thus far. Their two miscues came against Nevada on Nov. 25, and against Gonzaga on Jan. 8.

On the Horizon
After leaving completing the last away-from-the-Bay road trip of the season, the Dons face off with long-time rival Santa Clara in the South Bay Saturday at 2 p.m., in USF's lone contest of the week.

On the Air
Listen to longtime voice of the Dons, George Devine, behind the mic all season long. Devine is in his 19th season as the play-by-play voice of USF women's basketball.
