ANN ARBOR, Mich. –
Andrea Ka contributed the lone point for the Dons as the San Francisco women's tennis team fell to Darmouth 4-1 in the consolation match at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend on Sunday morning.
Ka, a senior from Paris, France, took down Taylor Ng in straight sets to earn her second win of the dual match season and stretch her singles record to 9-2 on the year. The 6-3, 6-4 victory marks consecutive straight-set decisions to open the spring slate.
Dartmouth opened the day with the doubles point and extended the lead at the Nos. 5 and 2 singles positions. Then, Ka got the Dons on the board before the Big Green closed the match after Julia Schroeder defeated USF's
Sofia Holmberg, 6-2, 6-1 for the final points of the day.
Two road matches are on tap for USF to close out the month. First the Dons take on Long Beach State on Saturday at 11 a.m., before a match against UC Irvine on Sunday at 11 a.m.
