The Dons welcome BYU to War Memorial at the Sobrato Center in a rematch of last season's WCC Championship Finals game, which went the way of the Cougars. The contest features two of the top 10 point-getters in the NCAA, as Lexi Eaton Rydalch (355 points/3rd) and
Taylor Proctor (326 points/9th) are sure to make an impact for their respective squads.

The USF offense has been explosive and operating with teamwork and synergy at the forefront.The Dons rank second in the league and 37th in NCAA Division I in shooting percentage, hitting 44.4 percent of their attempts from the floor. Coupled with a league-leading 17.0 assists per game, good for 28th in the nation, the collaborative nature of the offense has been a focus point.Â
The Dons are led by senior
Taylor Proctor's 20.4 points on .517 shooting, 8.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
Zhane Dikes adds 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals, and
Rachel Howard contributes 12.8 points on .414 shooting from beyond the arc and 3.4 assists.Â
Know the Foe
BYU enters War Memorial at the Sobrato Center with a 11-4 overall record and a 3-1 mark in WCC action, most recently earning the 68-63 victory at Santa Clara. The Cougars are paced by Lexi Eaton Rydalch's league-leading 23.7 points per game, which rates sixth in NCAA Division I. Mackenzi Pulsipher (11.5 ppg) and Kalani Purcell (10.5 ppg) round out the double-digit scorers and Purcell leads the charge with 12.1 rebounds a night, best in the conference.
As a team, BYU is atop WCC leaderboard in 3-point shooting percentage (.365) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1). Rydalch connects on a WCC-leading 2.5 3-pointers per game.

Last Time Out
Playing the first West Coast Conference overtime game of the season, the San Francisco women's basketball team took San Diego to the wire, before falling 67-58 on Thursday night.
The Dons (10-6, 1-4 WCC) and the Toreros (13-3, 3-1) were locked in a back and forth battle for much of the game before San Diego managed to pull away in the bonus period, outscoring USF 13-4 in the extra five minutes from War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
The senior duo of
Taylor Proctor and
Zhane Dikes yet again led the Dons, combining for 67 percent of the USF offensive output. Proctor finished with her sixth double-double of the season after netting 22 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Running the point, Dikes added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Rachel Howard chipped in 11 points and
Michaela Rakova contributed 10 rebounds and four assists for the Green and Gold in the overtime decision.

Jumping Ahead - Save the Date
Next up, the Dons travel to the Southland to take on Loyola Marymount (Jan. 14) and Pepperdine (Jan. 16). Then, the Dons return home against Portland (Jan. 28) and Gonzaga (Jan. 30). USF will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 1996 NCAA Sweet 16 team during the game against the Bulldogs. Along with honoring members of the team in attendance, there will be a post-game reception in The Hilltop club level as well as a men's basketball watch party.
