USF Returns to Action on Friday

SAN FRANCISCO –– After nearly two weeks off from competition, the USF men's track and field team will return this weekend to participate in both the Stanford Invitational and San Francisco State Distance Carnival, on Friday and Saturday.
The Dons will be represented by Katoa Ahau, Mohamed Aziz, Ryan Driscoll, Matt Leach, Cristian Monsalud, Jarrett Moore, Hugh Nicklason, Quentin Purtzer, Edward Shepherd, Alex Short and Gunnar Vik.
This weekend will be highlighted by the Short's outdoor debut on the track after an outstanding cross country season in which he qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual. At the Hornet Open on March 19, Nicklason broke the USF record in the 800M, finishing the course in 1:50.91. The freshman looks to re-set that mark on Saturday at Stanford.
