If you look up and down the hometowns of the San Francisco women's basketball program, you see a wide range – not only are there domestic players, but the roster is dotted with international players representing Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Canada.

"It becomes this melting pot very similar to what the city is, noted associate head coach Blair Hardiek. "We represent San Francisco with our diversity."

"Being an international student obviously means you're far away from home," she continues. "What we take a lot of pride in and value here at USF is the feeling of family. We really strive to create an environment that is filled with love. On our team everyone feels like sisters and our coaching staff, as well, is very close. Coach Stires and Coach Azzi, they lived overseas playing professionally, so when you come to the University of San Francisco you're absolutely taken care of and you're in a family environment."
