OMAHA, Neb. – A pair of early goals by each team kept things tied for most of the contest, but Nebraska-Omaha pulled ahead in the second half as the USF men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss on Friday evening.
 
Nebraska-Omaha (1-0) got on the board with Mark Moulton's early strike in the 7^th minute as he found a gap in the USF defense on the first shot attempt of the night.
 
The Dons didn't waste much time in answering as Bryce Kaminski netted the equalizer in the 11^th minute off a rebound in the box.
 
USF keeper Ryan Buckingham stayed active in the first half, registering four saves while helping keep the game tied at 1-1. However, Nebraska-Omaha moved ahead right after the intermission when Elvir Ibisevic took advantage of a breakaway to score in the 48^th minute.  
 
Nebraska-Omaha then went out to its final 3-1 lead in the 61^st minute as Cole Nelson found the back of the net.
 
USF (0-1) was outshot 11-5 on the night with Kaminski registering two shots on goal.
