Final Team and Individual Results
FAIRFAX, Calif. – USF wrapped up play this afternoon at the Meadow Club Intercollegiate where the Dons finished tied for 12th in a 13-team field.
The Dons finished with a team score of 922 (+58) after posting a team score of 315 (+27) on Tuesday and tied with Colorado State for 12th place.
San Diego State won the team competition with a 6-over score of 870. The Aztecs turned in a final round 288 (E) to earn a four-stroke victory over BYU (874). Illinois was third 11 strokes back at 881 while California (882) and Michigan (888) rounded out the top five.
My Leander of San Jose State shot a final round 69 to claim medalist honors with a 5-under score of 211, good for a two-stroke victory over Kendra Dalton of BYU and Siyun Liu of Illinois. Sirene Blair of San Diego State and Chayanid Prapassarangkul of Illinois also finished under par at -1 215.
Vanessa Ha, playing as an individual, was the low USF player on the leader board as the junior tied for 21st at 7-over 223. Ha, who opened her round with a birdie, shot a final round 77.
Junior Emily Laskin shot a final round 73 and tied for 30th at 10-over 226, thanks to a birdie on her last hole of the day.
Ayaka Suzuki tied for 51st at 15-over 231 after closing with an 80.
Kimberly Liu and Alison Lillie tied for 60th at 235.
Freshmen Samantha Gong (237) and Carley Hopton (253) tied for 66th and 74th, respectively.
USF will return to action next Monday when the Dons join the field at BYU's Entrada Classic in St. George, Utah.
