Dons Head South for Bryan Clay Invitational
4/13/2017 7:25:00 PM | Track and Field
AZUSA, Calif. – The San Francisco track and field team heads to the Bryan Clay Invitational at the Cougar Athletic Stadium on Azusa Pacific's East Campus poised to continue a strong spring campaign. The Dons are coming off a notable night at the Stanford Invitational, where four school records were broken on the track. Along with the record-setting affair in the South Bay, many personal bests fell not only at the Invitational but also around the track at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.
USF's contingent at the Bryan Clay spans from the 200 meter distance to the 1,500 meters, as well as men's javelin. All of the Dons' events will be contested on Friday. The Dons are seeking to use their momentum-building time out as a springboard for even more success in Southern California.
Quotable
"Our distance crew is either running the 1,500 or 800 and we could not ask for a better opportunity for our team to walk away from the weekend with personal bests. There is both a ton of quality and quantity so we are looking forward to building upon what we got going two weeks ago at Stanford." - USF head coach Helen Lehman-Winters on the Bryan Clay Invitational
