The University of San Francisco men's golf team, fresh off a second-place finish at its inaugural tournament of the 2018-19 season, will travel to the North Bay to compete at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational hosted by Cal at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.

The Course
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-71, 6,734 yard Meadow Club. The golf course, as designed by Alister MacKenzie and Robert Hunter in 1927, "utilizes meandering creeks, subtle elevations changes and broad vistas."

The Field
The Dons will compete against some of the top teams in the West and beyond. The California Golden Bears are the tournament host; also playing in the tournament are: Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Arizona State, Hawaii, San Jose State, Augusta, Long Beach State, and UC Davis. From the West Coast Conference, the Dons will see Santa Clara, Pepperdine, and San Diego.

The Dons
This is the second tournament of the season for the Dons. On Sept. 24-25 the Dons finished second at the Inverness Invitational hosted by Toledo. The Dons had three players finish in the top-10 and were led by sophomore
Soren Lind who finished second overall. Competing for USF this week will be the same group as the Inverness Classic. Junior
Tim Widing will lead four underclassmen: sophomores Lind and
Toby Briggs, freshman
Matthew Anderson, and making his collegiate debut, freshman
