SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of San Francisco track and field team set two school records, while posting several personal bests, this weekend at the Husky Classic.
 
Saturday was a stellar day for the Dons, beginning with Marie Bouchard breaking an almost six-year-old record in the 3,000 meters. Bouchard finished the race with a time of 9:10.95, beating the original record set by Laura Suur in 2012 by almost four seconds. Her time saw her finish in 15th place overall. 
 
Also competing in the 3,000m were Lizzie Bird and Lea Meyer. Bird, competing unattached, placed first in her section with a time of 9:16.35, also putting her in 19th overall. Meyer's time of 9:25.00, which was a personal best, saw her finish 27th overall.
 
Another record was set on Saturday in the 4x400 meter relay. The team of Maya Reynolds, Samantha Lind, Emma Stahr and Alena Ulrichova finished the race with a time of 3:51.28, beating the previous school record, set in 2014, by a little over one second.
 
Jack Rowe hit the oval to compete in the 5,000m on Friday night, finishing 19th overall with a time of 14:00.99, a personal best for the junior. Fellow Dons Jacob Allen (14:38.46 – 59th) and Alex Howard (14:59.16 – 76th) also competed in the event.
 
Senior Mohamed Aziz, and a pair of freshmen Henry Mong and Isaias DeLeon, competed for the first time in 2018 track season on Saturday. Mong and DeLeon took to the track for the one mile, with Mong finishing with a time of 4:12.98 (61st) and DeLeon clocking in at 4:17.34 (69th). Aziz competed in the 3,000m, finishing with a time of 8:26.39 to place 84th overall.

The Dons will make their final trip to Seattle of the indoor season to compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Championships on Feb. 24.
