SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of San Francisco track and field made its final trip to Seattle this weekend, posting another two school records at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships.
 
Competing in a very competitive mile field, Marie Bouchard put her name into the school record books again, after setting the 3,000m school record two weeks ago. Bouchard finished the race with a mark of 4:40.18, beating the previous record set almost six years ago by Nicole Bowler in 2012. That year Bowler went on to become an outdoor NCAA finalist in the 1,500m.
 
Alena Ulrichova also put together a strong race in the 800m today, leading from the beginning in her section, posting a mark of 2:08.40. That time was good enough to put her in first in her section, and third overall.
 
Capping off the evening on the oval for the Dons was the 4x400 meter relay team of Samantha Lind, Emma Stahr, Asaundra Dalton and Alena Ulrichova, finishing the race with a school record time of 3:47.84. This time bested the previous school record set two weeks ago at the Husky classic by four seconds.

On the team's performance
"We wrapped up the indoor season with some solid performances- most notably Alena in the 800 and Marie in the mile. We need to continue working on battling in the middle of our races so that we can be in a strong position on the final stretch. Indoor is really just a preseason for the outdoor track so we are now looking forward to a solid month of training, then we will then turn our focus advancing people to the NCAA Championships in May."
 
On Bouchard's school record setting mile
"The mile field was stacked today with four of the top ten times in the country coming from her race. She ran a gutsy race and it was a big personal best for her. She has set herself up nicely for the outdoor season."
 
On Ulrichova's 800m race
"Alena ran solo from the gun in the second heat.  She went out hard and was unchallenged by the field. Her time was good enough to land her in the no. 3 spot but she has much room for improvement when she gets in a more competitive race."
