SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco track and field heads to the state capital to compete in the Hornet Invitational at Hornet Stadium.

The Dons will send its largest contingent of athletes to compete in the Hornet Invitational. Hugh Nicklason, the holder of the 1,500-meters school record, will compete alongside seven fellow Dons in the 1,500m at the Hornet Invitational. Nicklason set the school record in the 800m last year in the Hornet Invitational, posting a time of 1:50.17.

Joining Nicklason will be the trio of newcomers Jack Rowe, Scott Halsted and Jacob Allen. During the indoor season, Rowe set the school record in the 3,000m with a time of 7:58.82.

On the women's side, coming off an impressive indoor campaign, Marie Bouchard will compete in the 1,500m with five other USF athletes. Bouchard set two school records on the indoor track in the one mile and 3,000m.

400m school record holder, Samantha Lind, will take to the track to compete in both the 200m and 400m events. Joining Lind in the 200m will be Asaundra Dalton. The senior holds the record in this event, a record she set at the Bryan Clay Invitational last season with a time of 24.01.
