THE RUNDOWN
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The University of San Francisco's beach volleyball team picked up two huge wins today against San Jose State and Santa Clara. The Dons were able to snap a four-game losing streak with 3-2 victories over the Spartans and the Broncos.

Both games were rematches for the Dons. They are now 1-1 with SJSU and 2-0 against SC. 

The Dons 2's and 3's got the job done today, winning both of their match ups. The 2's were made up of Haley Howell and Carly Lowry while the 3's were Camille Araujo and Erica Ronda. Araujo and Ronda swept (2-0) in each dual and Howell and Lowry went to the deciding match in both matches. 

In the dual against the Spartans, 4s pairs of Nora Buvarp Lavik and Sabrina Blackwell picked up a win in two sets to help the Dons to a 3-2 victory. 1s pair of Julia Topor and Anna Dalla Vecchia earned the clinching win against the Broncos, also in two sets. USF's 4s and 5s pairs could not pick up wins, but did manage to force deciding sets against Santa Clara.

Blackwell/Buvarp Lavik at 4s were the third pairs' win against San Jose State and Topor/Dalla Vecchia at 1s were the third pairs' win against Santa Clara. Howell/Lowry have been the clinching pair in all four Dons' wins this season. All our pairs were solid and contributed to the breakout day."
