STOCKTON, Calif. — Another night and another close match played Thursday by the University of San Francisco volleyball team, as the Dons held leads in all four sets but fell, 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-21, 25-16), in a West Coast Conference battle at Pacific inside the Alex G. Spanos Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
San Francisco made multiple pushes to stay in it during the first two sets, but it was in the second that it finally broke through. A 4-2 run late in the first made it a one-point set again at 22-21, but the Tigers (12-9, 4-5 WCC) escaped with a 26-24 extra-points set win. Trailing again early in the second, USF pulled back even twice at 12-12 and 14-14 before taking control of the second with a 10-3 run and evening the match at 1-1.
