WGOLF | Dons Head to Napa For Silverado Showdown
4/5/2019 1:33:00 PM | Women's Golf
The University of San Francisco women's golf team is back in action this weekend when they travel to the North Bay to participate in the Silverado Showdown co-hosted by Oregon and Colorado at Napa's Silverado Resort & Spa. The tournament will be the Dons' finale tune-up before they travel to Spokane for the WCC Championships later this month.
"The Silverado Showdown is such a great event for us to compete at," said head coach Sara Doell. "It is hosted by Colorado and Oregon at the prestigious Silverado Resort where the LPGA Shoprite is hosted. The field is very strong with some of the best teams in the nation competing. The team has had two weeks since our last event- giving them the chance to rest, work on the areas of their games where they are losing strokes and to build up more confidence. Being our last event before heading to the West Coast Conference Championships, we look to have a solid performance before heading to Spokane to compete at the WCC championships."
