KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of San Francisco had five players named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court and the team took home Team Academic Excellence Awards as announced by the NABC on Wednesday morning.
"I am beyond pleased with the academic performance of our program over the past academic year," said head coach
Todd Golden. "To have five guys receive academic accolades individually, and for our team to be acknowledged as a whole, makes me very proud."

Jimbo Lull,
Charles Minlend,
Remu Raitanen, and
Jordan Ratinho as well as redshirt junior
Emmanuel Nwabueze, earned distinction.To be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must but a junior or senior academically, a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, and a member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
The four seniors all earned all earned WCC All-Academic honors earlier this year. Lull, a business administration major, finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.56. Minlend, a redshirt junior, graduated with a degree in finance with a 3.48 GPA. Raitanen, an international business major, graduated with a 3.88 GPA. Ratinho, also a business administration major, graduates with a 3.86 GPA. All four players have previously earned this award. Nwabueze, a marketing major with a 3.41 GPA, takes home the honors for the first time.
For a team to earn the Team Excellence Award Honors, the program must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Dons finished the 2019-20 year with a 3.36 GPA and had 11 players finish with a 3.0 or higher this year – including eight with a 3.75 or higher.
