WBB | Dons Look to Extend Streak, Take on Lions

The University of San Francisco women's basketball team continues its Southern California swing with a stop at Gersten Pavilion on Saturday.  The Dons and Lions will tip off at 2:00 p.m. and will be streamed on the WCC Network. George Devine will have the call on the Dons' Audio Network.

LAST TIME OUT
USF made it three in a row after defeating Pepperdine 68-54 on Thursday. The Dons got back to .500 thanks to a tremendous defensive performance by the Dons.  USF led the game for over 30 minutes and held Pepperdine's top-two scorers in check.  Ioanna Krimili buried a program-record seven three's in the contest and finished with a game-high 24 points.
 
TOP FROSH
On Monday, guard Ioanna Krimili was named the UCU WCC Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season.  She first won the award on Dec. 7.  She won it three straight times from Dec. 28-Jan. 11.  She also earned WCC Player of the Week on Dec. 14. 
 
SHE'S ON FIRE
Redshirt sophomore guard Amalie Langer is on fire.  The third-year player from Denmark is averaging 13.3 points per game over the last three contests.  During that time, she is shooting 61.5 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from 3≠point range. 
 
A WIN WOULD MEAN...
• The Dons would improve to 9≠8, the first time being over .500 since Dec. 28.
• Improve the Dons to 6≠5 on the road. 
• Improve USF to 19≠16 on the road at LMU
• Improve the Dons to 5≠6 in the West Coast Conference.
• Mark the fourth-straight road win ≠ the longest such streak since: 11/28/15 - 12/8/15.
• Run the Dons conference winning streak to four games the longest streak since: 2/15/17 - 2/25/17  
 
DONS FROM DISTANCE
The Dons rank 26th in the nation (1st in the WCC) in 3-point field goal attempts with 344.  They are 33rd in the nation in made threes with 108 and 108th in the nation in 3-point field goals per contest, averaging 6.8 a game.  Ioanna Krimili is sixth in the nation in attempts (117), sixth in made threes (49), 17th in made threes per game (3.06), and 54th in 3-point field goal percentage (41.9).  The Dons are 3-2 when she makes five or more threes in a game and have won three-straight.
 
WINS VS. LOSSES
